Please join your friends and neighbors for this early Thanksgiving Gratitude Gathering to honor the memory of our friend, Ivan Backer. Ivan committed his life to serving and helping others and we would like to help continue his spirit of generosity.

Many of his possessions have already been given away to family, friends and Journey Home, .  but there are plenty of valuable items that remain – from large items like hutches, bookcases, desks and storage cabinets to smaller items such as artwork, carpets, plants and kitchen items.

Please come by his old condo, 11E, enjoy some wine and cheese with your friends and neighbors, and find something that might interest you or a friend.  We only ask that you make a donation of any size, in cash or by check, to the Ivan A. Backer Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

 Please join us on Monday, 11/20, to celebrate Ivan’s life and to continue his legacy.
